Tranlsating SMS lingo
If you're as clueless as me about how to read SMS messages (a.k.a. text messaging on cell phones) into standard English, you may want to check out transl8it!, which provides two-way translations between English and SMS lingo. A tool like this may be of use for librarians who communicate with their users via SMS. (Found on Lifehacker).

cute to use and great for guessing the lingo, but useless and time consuming to use if you have a good version of T9.
